XDP TOW SERIES FLEX PLATE XD660 | 2011-2019 6.7L POWERSTROKE (6R140)

Upgrade the drivetrain in your Ford 6.7L Power Stroke equipped with a 6R140 transmission and 6-bolt torque converter with the XDP XD660 Tow Series Flex Plate. Designed for heavy-duty towing and performance applications, this upgraded flex plate provides increased strength and durability for trucks producing more power and torque than the factory drivetrain components were originally designed to handle.

The Tow Series Flex Plate features a 4mm-thick center plate that is approximately 40% thicker than stock, providing a stronger foundation between the engine and torque converter. Double-welded ring gears add durability, while precision balancing helps provide smooth operation at elevated engine speeds. The assembly is rated for up to 12,500 RPM and is SFI 29.1 certified for added confidence in demanding applications.

A durable black E-coating helps protect the flex plate against corrosion, while the direct bolt-on design allows it to install in place of the compatible factory 6-bolt flex plate. The XD660 features 141 ring gear teeth and is designed for externally balanced applications.

Important 2011 Fitment Note:

Early-production 2011 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks built approximately July 25, 2011 or earlier were originally equipped with an 8-bolt flex plate and torque converter. Ford transitioned to the 6-bolt configuration around July 26, 2011. Verify your truck's build date and torque converter configuration before ordering. Trucks equipped with the early 8-bolt setup require both the flex plate and torque converter to be converted to the later 6-bolt configuration before using this flex plate.

Installation Note:

Some trucks may have one or two factory shims installed on either side of the original flex plate. These shims are not required with the thicker XDP flex plate and must be removed during installation. Removing the factory shims is necessary to provide proper thread engagement between the flex plate bolts and crankshaft.
