The S&S LPK replaces the crack-prone plastic engine-mounted fuel filter housing with a durable billet aluminum two-post filter mount. This design accepts a larger Donaldson P584171 spin-on filter that maintains OEM-spec 4-micron absolute filtration at 99% efficiency while nearly doubling dirt holding capacity at 23 grams compared to the OEM filter's 12 grams.

S&S also addresses the brittle factory plastic injector return fitting with an aluminum Fuel Leak Prevention Fitting featuring a durable hose barb and easy-release quick connect. The Plus kit goes a step further by including a Donaldson P585405 chassis-mounted panel fuel filter, providing 10-micron nominal filtration and greater than 40 grams of dirt holding capacity. Together, these components provide a complete filtration upgrade without sacrificing the filtration performance required by the factory fuel system.
