Protect the fuel system in your Ford 6.7L Powerstroke from potential CP4 pump failure with the S&S Diesel Gen2.1 CP4 Disaster Prevention Bypass Kit (CP4-6.7F-BPG2.1). Developed by S&S Diesel Motorsport®, the original creator of the Disaster Prevention Kit, this improved second-generation version builds on years of engineering experience to deliver even greater reliability and protection.

The Gen2.1 kit uses OE-style quick connect lines, eliminating the need for cutting the factory supply line or using compression fittings—both of which can introduce debris or leaks. Threaded joints have also been eliminated, further reducing potential leak points and debris risks during installation. This design ensures a cleaner and more reliable installation process.

The main function of the bypass kit is to independently supply the CP4 case and metering unit/plungers with clean, filtered fuel while rerouting case fuel back to the tank. The Gen2.1 kit improves on this design by splitting the fuel supply 25 inches away from the CP4, virtually eliminating the chance of contaminated case fuel feeding back into the clean line. It also incorporates a billet return filter head that accepts a standard spin-on fuel filter, preventing CP4 debris from reaching the tank, lines, and supply pump. This eliminates the need for dropping the fuel tank after a CP4 failure—something that was still required with the original bypass kit.

Thanks to efficient design and material use, these improvements come without a significant cost increase. The Gen2.1 kit fits all 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty F250/F350/F450/F550 trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke, removing the need to select by model year.
