Upgrade the reliability and durability of your 2011–2016 GM 6.6L Duramax LML with the PPE 110100105 Cast Iron Cylinder Head. Engineered to address common issues associated with factory aluminum cylinder heads, this heavy-duty replacement is cast from specially alloyed gray iron and designed to withstand extreme temperatures, high cylinder pressures, and demanding performance applications.

Unlike factory aluminum heads, the PPE Cast Iron Cylinder Head shares a similar expansion rate with the OEM cast iron engine block. This helps eliminate the head gasket scrubbing commonly associated with mixed-metal engine designs, reducing the likelihood of head gasket failure while improving long-term sealing performance.

Every cylinder head comes assembled with upgraded valvetrain components, including fully nitrided valves, tapered valve springs, chromoly steel retainers, and premium valve seats designed for exceptional durability and heat resistance. Cast-in injector cups further improve reliability by eliminating potential injector cup seal failures.

Important Notes:

  • Sold individually. Two cylinder heads are required per engine.
  • For extreme-performance applications, PPE recommends oversized exhaust valve seats with additional interference fit for maximum durability.
  • The cylinder head is designed to fit either bank. Freeze plugs are installed during assembly based on application requirements.
  • Cannot be shipped to California.
