Upgrade the durability and performance of your 2001–2004 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7 with the PPE 110100101 Cast Iron Cylinder Head. Engineered as a heavy-duty replacement for cracked or damaged factory cylinder heads, this performance-oriented design utilizes specialty alloyed gray cast iron construction to provide exceptional strength and long-term reliability.
Unlike factory aluminum heads, this cast iron design helps minimize expansion-rate differences between the cylinder head and engine block, promoting more consistent clamping force and improved durability in high-performance and heavy-duty applications.
The valvetrain features premium materials throughout, including chromoly-silicone alloy intake valves, nitrided 214N alloy exhaust valves, chromoly steel retainers, spring seats, and 125 lb conical valve springs.
