The Mishimoto MMTC-RAM-03SL transmission cooler is a direct-fit upgrade for 2003–2009 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L diesel trucks, designed to keep transmission temperatures under control. Heat is the number one threat to transmission longevity, and this cooler delivers a massive improvement over stock with a 212% increase in core volume and a 244% increase in fluid capacity. Built with a stacked plate core, it provides strong and reliable cooling for towing, heavy work, or daily driving.

Unlike the stock unit, which fails closed when the thermostat goes bad, the Mishimoto cooler uses a fully serviceable thermostat that can be replaced individually or bypassed with the included stainless-steel plug for constant cooling. This design allows for quick thermostat servicing and eliminates the need to replace the entire cooler in the event of a failure. Owners in colder climates can maintain fast warm-up times, while those in hotter regions can opt for full-time cooling.

For easier installation and service, Mishimoto includes CNC-machined stainless steel hose barb fittings and transmission cooler hose. These fittings eliminate the need to fight seized quick-disconnects, letting you splice the stock soft line directly to the cooler. The MMTC-RAM-03SL is constructed from durable 6061 aluminum and, like all Mishimoto products, comes backed by a lifetime warranty.

Application Notes: Installation requires cutting of the stock transmission cooler lines.
