Their approach is simple: remove the problem before it becomes a problem by replacing the failure-prone CP4.2 with a reliable, bulletproof CP3 high-pressure fuel pump.

CP4 high-pressure pumps are widely recognized as the Achilles heel of the LML Duramax, often causing catastrophic damage to the entire high-pressure system, including injectors, rails, and fuel lines. S&S Diesel Motorsport offers the first CARB-compliant (EO #D-756-4) 50 State CP3 conversion kit for the LML, which includes all hardware necessary to replace the CP4 with a CP3 pump, requires no tuning changes, and maintains full factory emissions compliance. This kit is available for $2,600 MAP.

In addition, S&S Diesel Motorsport provides two alternative LML CP3 conversion kits for competition applications that do not require after-treatment:

• Tuning Required Version: For $1,780 MAP, designed for competition engines that allow tuning adjustments.
