Permanently address common HVAC door failures in 3rd Generation Dodge Ram trucks with this complete HVAC Door Rebuild Kit. Designed to replace the failure-prone factory plastic doors inside the HVAC box, this kit uses CNC-machined solid aluminum replacement doors for increased strength and long-term durability.

The complete kit replaces all five primary HVAC doors, including the recirculation door, two blend doors, panel/floor door, and defroster door. The factory blend door rods are reused during installation. Configuration options are available for Single Zone and Dual Zone climate control systems as well as trucks equipped with factory rear passenger vents.

Single Zone vs. Dual Zone

Single Zone: For trucks where the driver and passenger temperatures are controlled together.
Dual Zone: For trucks equipped from the factory with independent driver and passenger temperature controls.

Important: Single Zone and Dual Zone configurations are not interchangeable. Installing Dual Zone doors will not convert a factory Single Zone truck to Dual Zone climate control.

Rear Vent Configuration

Without Rear Vents: This configuration fits trucks that do not have the factory rear passenger vent system, including Single Cab, Quad Cab, and some Mega Cab models. It replaces the applicable factory plastic HVAC doors and plastic drivers with solid aluminum components.

With Rear Vents: This configuration is designed specifically for Mega Cab trucks equipped with factory rear passenger vents located at the lower rear portion of the center console or center jump seat. It includes a specific defroster door driver, an additional linkage rod, and an aluminum cam gear used to operate the rear vent control door.

Rear-vent-equipped trucks will reuse the original plastic rear vent control door. This door is unique to the rear vent system, is not directly operated by an electronic actuator, and does not seal against a surface inside the HVAC box.

Application Notes

Factory blend door rods are reused during installation.
Select the correct Single Zone or Dual Zone configuration for the truck's factory HVAC system.
Select the rear vent option only for Mega Cab trucks equipped with factory rear passenger vents.
Single Cab and Quad Cab trucks do not use the rear vent configuration.
Not all Mega Cab trucks are equipped with factory rear vents.
Single Zone systems cannot be converted to Dual Zone simply by installing Dual Zone doors.
