Improve intake airflow and address the factory grid heater design on your Cab & Chassis Ram 3500/4500/5500 6.7L Cummins with the Banks Power Monster-Ram Intake & Heater Grid Upgrade. This system combines the high-flow Monster-Ram intake manifold with a billet intake plate and Banks coil heater to significantly reduce intake restriction while retaining cold-weather starting capability.

With the Banks coil heater and high-flow billet intake plate installed, Banks reports airflow increases from 38.6 lbs/min with the factory configuration to 72.7 lbs/min, an improvement of approximately 88.3%. The larger, less restrictive intake tract improves airflow from the intercooler and is engineered to increase boost without increasing turbine drive pressure, supporting improved throttle response and engine breathing during daily driving, towing, and heavy hauling.

The system replaces the factory grid heater assembly with a CNC-machined high-flow billet intake plate and vertically positioned Banks coil heater. This eliminates the factory grid heater hardware that can loosen after prolonged exposure to heat, vibration, and mileage, potentially allowing components to enter the intake tract and cause severe engine damage. The Banks coil heater maintains factory-like cold-weather starting performance while creating significantly less airflow obstruction.

A proprietary replacement fuel line provides additional clearance for the Monster-Ram's larger airflow path. Four 1/8-inch NPT ports also provide convenient locations for compatible pressure, temperature, or other sensors, including monitoring equipment used with Banks iDash systems.

Installation Note:

The factory MAP sensor is mounted to the intake elbow and must be transferred to the Banks Monster-Ram during installation. Replacement of a functioning MAP sensor is not required, but the sensor should be inspected for soot buildup while removed. Clean or replace the sensor as necessary to help maintain accurate pressure and temperature readings.
